Ibanez to Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Phillies and former Seattle Mariner outfielder, Raul Ibanez, have reportedly agreed to a deal that is believed to be worth over $30 million over a three year period.

Should Ibanez pass his physical, the deal would be made complete and he would become the Phillies new everday leftfielder.

Pat Burrell who became a free agent this offseason will probably be moving on after the signing of Ibanez who will be taking Burrell's place in leftfield.

With many other teams with Ibanez on their radar, the Phillies stepped up and signed him Thursday.

Ibanez hit .293 this past season with 23 homeruns and 110 RBI's. Ibanez is just one of five outfielders who have driven in 100+ runs in each of the past three seasons.
